Does Verifactu apply to you? Work it out in 4 questions

One minute, no sign-up, no small print: we tell you whether you are in scope, your exact date and the recommended fix for your case — online store, ERP, POS or custom application. With the only firm dates in the calendar: 1 January 2027 (companies) and 1 July 2027 (self-employed).

“Half the scare of Verifactu is not knowing whether it applies to you. That half goes away in a minute.”

The 4 questions

Tick what applies; the result appears on its own. If a question stops being relevant to your case (say, you are a software maker), the result shows earlier.

1 · Who does the invoicing?
2 · Where is your tax residence?
3 · Are you under the SII?

The SII (immediate VAT reporting) is mandatory for large companies (over €6M), REDEME registrants and VAT groups. If it doesn't ring a bell, it's almost certainly a no.

4 · What do you issue invoices with?

Save your result (and hear from us only if something changes)

We email you this result. If Spain's official Verifactu calendar moves — it already happened once — we let you know. No weekly emails.

This is general information, not tax advice: the result guides the general case and does not replace your advisor. Dates from the official calendar in force (RD 1007/2023 and its December 2025 postponement).

Where the dates come from

From Spain's invoicing-software regulation (RD 1007/2023, anti-fraud Law 11/2021) and its calendar in force after the postponement approved in December 2025: 1 January 2027 for corporate-tax payers and 1 July 2027 for the self-employed and other obligated parties. Those are the only firm dates; anything else you may read comes from earlier drafts. The full explanation, with the table by situation and the FAQ, is in the guide “Who must comply with Verifactu, and when?”.

Questions about the calculator

Is the calculator free? Do I have to sign up?

It is free and the full result shows on screen without leaving any data. Only if you want it by email (plus the alert if the calendar changes) do we ask for your address, with double opt-in confirmation and one-click unsubscribe.

What do you do with my answers?

Your answers stay in your browser. If you request the result by email, we store your address and your case so we can alert you if the official calendar changes; nothing else and no sharing. Data controller: Softnet Sistemas S.L. (Alicante, Spain).

Does the result count as tax advice?

It guides the general case based on the regulation and the tax agency FAQ, but it is general information: cases with nuances (multiple activities, several territories, partial SII) should be confirmed by your advisor. Write to us and we will look at yours for free.
